Learning the Martial arts does not teach children
violence; it teaches them to prevent violence.
Every day children are victimized. From "Bullies"
to "Predators" the dangers faced by children are
real. School age children will spend over 30% of
their time out of their parents care. As this
percentage grows with each passing year, so grows
the dangers they will face. DOJ stats show over 80%
of us will be confronted with some form of physical
violence by the time we graduate from college.
Teaching a child self defense is teaching a child to
protect the life you gave them. Don't be fooled by
sales pitches, showmanship, colorful uniforms, or
the amount of stripes on a belt. When someone
attacks your child, they are in a fight, what some
sell we provide, what others claim to be, we have
achieved. The differences between us and them are
similar to that of the WWE and the UFC. One is for
show, the other is for reality. Children who
complete this program will be able to defend
themselves now and for the rest of their lives.

At Pennsylvania Martial Arts Academy we
teach the Martial Arts to children through
fun, theme oriented drills. These drills
develop basic motor skills, provide a
foundation of physical activity, enhance
mental focus, and develop self discipline.
While ensuring their ability to defend
themselves, our Little & Young Dragons
curriculum exposes children to a wide
variety of martial arts systems. But perhaps
the most important thing our program teaches
children is that through continued effort,
and belief in oneself, any obstacle can be
overcome. Our Little & Young Dragons program
is about more than just kicking and
punching. It is about the person they are,
and the person they can become. Little
Dragons training (ages 4-8 and 9-13) is
offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
from 5:35-6:30. (Doors open at 5:30) Come as
often as you like. We offer unlimited class
attendance throughout the year. |

I am often asked “Can we watch a class?”
Watching the Martial Arts is fine, but
in order to know whether this is
something they enjoy and want to
continue they must experience it. They
must try it. Our intro course provides
both the parent and child the
opportunity to review our academy's
program before becoming a member. To
schedule your 2 week introductory course
call (412) 221-4364. The intro course
includes a meeting with the academy
director (1) private lesson, academy T
shirt, and (2) weeks unlimited training |

Once you have completed your
introductory course your journey to
become a "little dragon" will begin.
Along with group training, children will
be divided by both age and rank. This
helps to ensure the material is
presented in a manner which is
appropriate and fun for all. With over
20 years teaching experience, we take
pride in our ability to ensure each
student gets the individual attention
they need and deserve. For this reason
multiple instructors are assigned to
every class. This limits the number of
students one instructor must oversee and
provides our Academy Director the
opportunity to work with each group or
individual as needed. Training in the
Martial Arts is about commitment. From
young to old success in life, or lack of
it is most often determined not by our
talents but by our commitments. Whether
you are 4 or 40, a sense of pride and
accomplishment fill each of us when we
set a goal and then achieve that goal.
Achieving our goals provides us belief
in ourselves, belief in our abilities,
belief that we can do "what it takes" to
succeed. This is why we ask our members
to commit to taking the first small step
toward becoming a Little Dragon. Members
are required to complete the Beginner
Level and become a Blue Belt or if you
prefer a Blue Dragon. Blue Dragon
Membership Cost: $195.00 down, $95.00
per month. Down payment includes 1st
month training, $50.00 white belt
certification, and $75.00 membership
fee. Because we are the best, at this
academy there are no hidden fees or
charges. All costs are provided to you
upfront and online. All students are
required to have the following gear: (2)
Academy Uniforms; (2) “T” shirts & (2)
pairs of pants; (1) pair of Kids MMA
gloves, and (1) " Soft Nunchuku". This
all the gear required to become a Little
Dragon. Total Cost: $105.00 |

Jun Fan was the first Modern Mixed Martial Training
System. Throughout his life, Bruce Lee combined
punching, striking, kicking, knees, elbows, throws,
takedowns, trapping, and submissions to form his
“Way”. He combined this with the Philosophy of Jeet
Kune Do. The core understanding of this philosophy
is best represented in his creed: "Having no
limitation as limitation", “Using no Way as Way”
These two simple statements mean we should not
limit ourselves in our endeavors, nor should we
commit or subscribe to a singular “Way” of achieving
them. All children should learn these principles.
With this in mind our Little Dragons program is
actually 4 programs in one. Part One an introduction
to Jun Fan Gung Fu "The Art of the Dagon". Part 2
“Predators Defense ". Part 3 "Young Jedi" an
introduction to "Weapon Arts". The final Part is
"The Way of the Tiger" which teaches the basics of
Karate and TKD. A copy of the basic techniques
instructed within this program “Little
Dragons Manual”
is provided for you. |
